In a subterranean chamber deep beneath Jerusalem's Temple Mount Lies the lost Ark of the Covenant at least according to British historian Richard Andrews.

Convinced he would find the Ark some 70 meters beneath the monumental Dome of the Rock, Andrews led an expedition to Temple Mount in the summer of 1998, and began his search for this ancient relic from the past.

This film documents Andrews' efforts to verify his theory, both underground and above it. It follows Andrews as he meets with other scholars, with the Muslim custodians of the site, who vehemently oppose his research, and with Jewish Fundamentalists, who embrace his theory, since it proves their historic claim to the Temple Mount.

In the course of these excavations, we learn of a war game theory proposed by some of Harvard's leading scholars. According to them, World War lll will start right here, on the Temple Mount, after Jewish extremists destroy the ancient mosques.

Will this dire prognostication of a future Armageddon actually come true? Will the next great international conflagration break out here, on the Temple Mount?
