JUST LIKE US (1998, 24min)

The film Just Like Us deals with the Israeli Arab identity crisis.

On the one hand they are Israeli citizens with alleged equal rights, on the other, they are Arabs with a split identity.

The protagonists move on the thin line between the two identities, while over their heads hovers the question of their loyalty to the State of Israel and the extent of their identification with it. The film reveals the profile of the freedom fighter as seen in the eyes of the Arabs, and of the terrorist, as seen in the eyes of the Jews.

The film explains what drove one man away from being a law abiding citizen to a more difficult and dangerous destiny.
