Boxing has always been considered a sport for minorities and the underprivileged. Traditionally boxing has been identified with the Arab community in Israel until the mass arrival of Russian immigrants in the early 1990's.

The film "A punch in The Face" shows how Israeli Arabs absorbed the Russian immigrants and how these people found common ground in boxing.
